I think someone mentioned this a while back, but is anyone interested in running your car on the dyno? Any dynos in the NoVA area (only 1 here in town)??. It would be interesting to see the results of some of the mods that people have done especially Randy's car . A group of us would be fun, would also lower the price. I'm getting the new MG Racing filter this week and thought maybe I could get some numbers for them, maybe compare vs K&N etc.

Post here if interested

I myself suggested this while back. But since I am terrible at organizing event/meet and lack of leadership qualities, it never materialized.
This can be good for some people who may do some mod in the future and have the baseline dyno of their stock car.
I would love to see what kind of number I will get from compare to last time.
The place I've done was autothority, it was bit pricey and the result they print out was kind of amaterish.
However while back, some one gave me a handful of list where you can dyno your car and I faintly remember picking one that seemed most promising. I may have to dig in to find from distant posts(h-a.net) and hopely I do.
Let's do this while the weather is somewhat cooler, and of course you can count on me that I will be there.

Even if you do not have any mod, don't you want to know if your car is putting out the performance promised??
That is exactly what prompt me to dyno my car while back when I had just exaust/header done with somewhat disappointing result of 214hp at the wheel.

So who can organize and be a leader in this event??+
And Thanks VA S2K for bringing this up!

VA S2K:

There is an outfit out at Woodbridge (see link below) that the local Corvette club and Mustang crowd uses. I've spoken to these guys before and they sound like a decent bunch, though their premises will not win any design/aesthetic awards. They are located in deepest darkest Woodbridge. I have no interest in a dyno for my own car at the moment but would be happy to follow up with these guys since they are about 15 mins from my house (and since you are more than 15 minutes away). Let me know if I can help.

P.S. Weather's gettin' warmer boys and girls, time again to drive fast and scare the cr*p out of the folks in Great Falls.

Phil,

This is one of the places that turbo_pwr recommended. Let's do it. If you could try and give them a call to get more info like pricing (website says $75/hr), availability, etc that would be great. If not, I'll give 'em a buzz later. There is only one place in my area that some professional race team rents out for $100/hr.......a bit pricey I think.

Interested:

Yes, it's almost time to cause more accidents ..............ummmmmmmmmm I mean do some top-down driving what with these warmer temps

Just talked to the guys at Woodbridge Dynotech and the price is $75.00 regardless of group size. For that you get three pulls with printouts. At the moment, they have the following Saturdays open: March 17, 24 and 31. Let me know if you want me to set something up.

You might also want to let Gregg; Rick Hesel and some of the MD crew know as I believe many of them have modded cars.

Regards,

Phil

I'm in the area as well, I'm still contemplating about dynoing the car, but I'd definitely like to be there. I have a JR Filter on order, if that gets in on time before the dyno, I might want to test that against stock.
