Ah, I can't wait to meet all of you that I met before and as well as some new people. Also Rick Hesel if he can make it(which shouldn't be a problem)

But my schedule is bit strange and I may end up not making to the meet.
I hope I get better picture as the Saturday approaches but I am not certain yet and I can only cross my fingers.

Also I hope the weather cooperates and if it is around 40's and higher, I will put the top-down for the first time since god knows the last time I put the top down.

Oh, Happy Birthday Gregg!
I am glad that everything worked out ok for you.

Hope to see you guys this Saturday!

PS:Wow, this is also when the Yellow owners may join the meet for the first time here. Also White owners if you are out there please come too!

I've sent mail off to Pat, I'm still trying to track down Horace. I'll get ahold of Seatbelt as well (though he went to the dark side and got a new Miata--great deal too!)

Is it ok that I bring along a friend who drives a BMW M Coupe along for the Meet/Drive?

Also what route are you guys going to take for the drive?

Kai

Of course it's OK to bring him (or anyone else & their cars along).

We still haven't come up with a route yet. If you have any suggestions, speak up now....

re: the route... Might be good to find someone who's familiar with the area... Somebody I talked to said Georgetown Pike is a nice road, but may be a little busy, dunno... I know nothing of No.Va...

What about lunch? If we're going to meet up around
10.30, I figure we'd probably be ready to roll out around 12-12.30, which sounds like a good time to go find some lunch somewhere in the city and drive after "fueling up".

Too bad it's so far out to someplace like upper Montgomery County... LOTS of wide-open twisties and beautiful winter scenery. Tho we could head up and across at White's Ferry into VA... *shrug* just a thought.

So yeah - any other thoughts? I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the same faces (Randy, Gregg, etc) and some new people too. Should be fun.

Georgetown Pike is a great twisty two-lane road that many times gets bogged down traffic or clogged with an accident.

Unfortunately, it's also near Great Falls and nowhere close to where we'll be meeting.

Being from Montgomery country (grew up in Damascus), I totally concur. Give me Avery Rd. or Rt. 108 anyday.

I have a great route that starts in Loudoun county waaay past Leesburg, but we'll save that for another time when we meet further out.

Anyone have any suggestions. We all know how I hate to just STS for a few hours and then go home. I bought the car to drive.

Don't get me started on Avery Road. I don't think I've ever feared for my life more than I have on Avery Road, friend driving his 92 Accord to its limits (completely stock) on every (damp) turn at something like 70mph.

Only had the balls to launch the S a little on that big dip, coming up (not going down - eek). So much fun, but oh so short.

Ok, that's my rant on Avery Road.

So, um... Anyone got a map? There have got to be some good roads to tear up around there... Anyone?

Almost forgot... anyone thought about posting this thread over on H-A.net or superhonda.org or various other boards where our members may be scattered?

Might be a good way to build attendance.
