Default 08 to 07 gauge cluster conversion

I have a 08 and looking to put an 07 cluster into it. Will this work? Will there be any functionality lost that the 08 has and the 07 does not? is there any more lights or anything on the 08 that i will lose? has anyone ever done this before?

any help is appreciated.

thanks

Why the swap? Your cluster starting to bubble?

I don't think the '07 had tire pressure monitoring, so you'll lose that indicator.

I really want to put in Qube's led gauges and he doesn't offer them for the 08 so i wanted to use an 07 one instead...do you think this will work?

I think there's a very good chance that it would work. However, you may have to pay a Honda dealer to lock it to your vehicle, similar to transferring an ECU.

was thinking of getting a euro gauge that has a 9k redline into my ap2. I thought replacing the cluster is straight forward? you have to take the car into honda for a gauge conversion?

so you are saying gauge cluster is linked to ecu even for 06?

The gauge cluster has its own processor and flash memory, and the current vehicle mileage is one of the things that is stored within the cluster. Transferring the car's VIN and mileage information is done using a proprietary Honda programmer. Since vehicle mileage is so important, it would surprise me greatly if the cluster didn't query the ECU occasionaly to make sure they have the same VIN.
