Default the $100 passwordjdm intake option

I just bought my 2nd s and its all stock except for a ebay exhaust (getting rid of soon). I was in need of a intake and looked all over for a well priced intake. So I found one, the password jdm whale penis off the integra/civic with abs. I got the idea from a member on here named DeeQs2k. These intakes are usually found on craigslist for $80-140 used. Bought mine for $100. From my understanding, s2000s love the big fat intakes. The way its positioned, a air duct looks perfectly matched if your worried about heat soak. A few problems I ran into was the air pump not being plugged into the intake. Just kinda left it hidden around the cruise control area. Another problem was that there's nothing really holding the intake up other then the coupler at throttle body. Other then that, fits and works fine to me. Bling factor and better then spending $1k on a intake. Just wanted to share my experience with everyone. Opinions and questions welcomed. THIS PHOTO IS NOT MY CAR. THIS IS DeeQs2k's PICTURE I TOOK AS A REFERENCE. SO CREDIT GOES TO HIM. Mine looks just like his except for the cooling panel and sticker!

You are getting hot air streaming through the radiator straight into the intake. Probably would have been better to just take the lid off the stock air box. Same heatsoak but would have cost $100 less.

eh, probably just as bad as the K&N intake, and while it does heatsoak at low speeds, it works well on the freeway. I think it's a pretty cool idea

Any idea if the other style would fit also? I've seen two styles of intakes produced by password jdm for the 94-01 Tegra.

U need the abs intake version and non gsr. The gsr intake has a flat spot on the intake I believe. So its should only have 1 bend on the intake. Id rather use this then the k&n intake because its cheaper and carbon yo

Figures the only used one on eBay wouldn't be the right one and there aren't any local haha. May just pick one up brand new. The shield around the filter though.. I know I've seen a carbon fiber one somewhere. Can that be purchased separately without getting the intake it came with.

I kind of like this idea. It's basically a FIPK especially with the air box and AUT cooling plate but looks much nicer because of the carbon design.

The air box is what I was referring to. I know comptech makes the carbon fiber "ice box" but I don't think that will fit this intake. Just was curious if there was an air box that was carbon fiber instead of the abs fipk one

i like it.

the volume of air in the tube at nay give time is enough to help throttle response and its tapered.

good deal for a hundred bucks. probably just as good as the K&N and probably sounds just as good if not louder from the "resonance chamber" effect of the tube.
