Default $15 to ship this part?

When I bought my car, I didn't realize it was missing this part, it's one of the caps that goes in the driver's side interior door handle. I was looking around on all the parts websites today and everyone wants about $15 to ship this one part! It only costs about $2.50 and might weigh an ounce or two, so I really can't justify paying that much for shipping. Does anyone have an extra or know where I can get one that won't gouge me on shipping?

I already checked Bernardi Parts, Honda's parts website, eBay, and all the top sites that come up on Google for Honda parts. If anyone has an extra, I'd be happy to throw them a few bucks for the part and the cost to mail it to me in a bubble wrap envelope.

Just post in the "Want to Buy" section man, i'm sure someone will have one and sell it to you cheap.

Also yeah that is how a lot of companies make more money, they just charge more than it actually cost to ship which is pretty rediculous. I bought some bumper plugs for a couple bucks from Honda and they cost like $12 to ship.

True, his profile says he lives in Albuquerque NM so should have one near him. I have things different since the nearest Honda dealer is right at an hour away. I would spend more than $12 on gas so it's a no brainer for me, I just order online.

I plan on calling my local dealerships too, I just wanted to see if I have any other options in case they try to overcharge me as well.

they might double the price to 5 bucks but you arent going to have to pay shipping., it also might be something they stock.

For small stuff like that, going local is the best, otherwise you get raped on shipping and handling charges.

When you pay shipping, you arent literally paying the postage. You're also paying for the packaging and the handling.

Add some oil filters or something else you may need to in the near future to justify the cost of shipping.
