Default 2006 bolt-on mod options?

As the soon-to-be owner of an '06, I want to just do a few minor bolt-on mods, but I'm having trouble finding parts. I want to get wheels and tires (I have that covered) plus an intake, exhaust and the Hondata reflash.

What are my options for an exhaust and intake? Everything seems to be 2000-2005 specific.

The best bolt on for a S2000 is a 70mm exhaust. Most gains out of all the bolt ons.

K&N FIPK. About $250 bucks at http://www.4filters.com/search/find.asp. If you print out the online add and take it to advance auto parts, they will match the price. Took 2 days to get it. Easy install, I'm no mechanic, and had no problems. Sounds great and you can feel a difference in mid range and throttle response. A team Voodoo shift knob is IMO the best mod for the buck. A must for all S's... As far as exhaust, not a lot of 06 and up specific systems. There was a change in the exhaust tunnel in 06. Most systems will rub a bit in a couple places. I just went through the process. First I tried all the so called fixes, they don't really work to well. I ended up going to a muffler shop and having them trim and add as needed. Then had them weld it together and did away with the clamps that came with it. Cost me all of $70.00.
Based on price ($575) and sound I bought a magnaflow system. A lot of people are down on magnaflow, but I really like it. I think it is too main stream for some. I really don't care what it says on it if it works. Several other systems use magnaflow cans, so they must be half decent. It sounds good too.

Oh yeah, REFLASH! I want that too,...bad! I'm waiting to see there are no issues or problems. So far it seems ok, but something is holding me back. You should get it and fill me in. LOL

For intakes I would definitely agree with norain. The K&N produces an awesome note when just let her rip, and it makes the engine bay look a bit better. You could always go with a replica Mugen style intake as well, looks pretty cool...I think it produces minimal gains though.

Exhaust you've got a pretty good range of options. There's actually a thread around here that lists exhausts that are CONFIRMED to fit on an +06. I'll see if I can find it in a bit.

If you're gonna get the reflash, don't forget you'll have to spend some more money on the Toda headers to get the most out of it. I think some other people have tried different headers with similar results, but I'm not positive. I would just do some serious research before actually doing the reflash.

Hondata has two flashes, one for stock exhaust manafold and one for a "Toda Header". So if you're going to get the reflash, make sure and get the header that matches closest to the "Toda Header"
