Default 2008 cr mod/future mods

So I recently purchased another s2k. This time a 2008 black cr with about 54k miles. Had it for about 5 months. Thinking of buying a few parts. Parts would include for now, some sort of intake (aem cold air), either Tomei expreme ti or j's racing I think 70rr or rs j forget. And either a j's racing test pipe or a berk.

The main question is would one of those exhaust even work with my future goal for the car. Which would be to either go turbo or supercharging? Any recommendations would be fantastic. On any of those parts. Not too too familiar with s2k. Even tho I have 2. My other one is a 2007 white 2k. I came from a stage 2 e85 sti. Thanks guys

I would recommend not modding a CR. The market for those is only going up and you could easily sell the CR and buy a standard S2000 with plenty of money left over to do all the mods you want to it.

At least those parts you are planning to buy are easily reversible tho. Just make sure you keep your stock parts! Also, congrats on the CR

Yeah the bolt ons aren't a big deal. My comment was more directed at the forced induction stuff. I would really recommend doing a lot of research and familiarizing yourself more with the platform before doing anything drastic. An intake and exhaust is easily swapped out but it can get pricey. Maybe see if there is anyone local with the exhausts you are looking at so you can hear them in person as no video really gives you an idea of the sound and more importantly the drone a certain exhaust produces. All of the exhausts you listed are very loud so that is something to think about.

Interesting. Thanks for the advice. But a part of me with a car that has so much potential sitting there and not touching it, kinda sucks. I do have a second s2k that's in another home of mine but I dont get to see that car much. I should probably move that car here to mess with instead.

Yeah. Easily reversible bolts ons are fine but I would stop there. If you want a good example of a modded cr look at this thread.

just keep your oem Oem parts. If you are set in FI I would do it to the non CR and leave the cr alone. Or do what I said sell the cr buy a nice ap2 and mod the hell out of that.

Would you guys buy the titanium version of the j's racing 70rr or rs I forget which is which. I'm also leaning towards the single instead of the dual? Is the weight difference really worth the extra 1+ grand?

I am no where near as dedicated as this guy. I'm just trying to have a little fun and enjoy the car. I think this guys cr is very clean and well done. I was thinking of copying a lot of this parts as well. He has the setup where I would want. From interior audio to exterior to suspension to almost everything.
https://youtu.be/QK-rr0nk8I4. He ended selling the car. I think I would definitely do an audio system on the car tho. As you would know the audio in ghe s2ks are garbage. Check it out. Let me know what you think.

Yeah I have seen that car before. Audio is pretty easy. I stopped at decent speaks and good head unit. My opinion still stands on the FI stuff. You have low miles stock CR which is a car that is actually appreciating in value. I understand the want to mod the car trust me I do but with a CR in particular you need to think about it.

I also am of the opinion that a CR isn't really a car you want to heavily mod.

And...it has tons of talent when its stock. So...why not extract that instead of just throwing power and mods at it for no reason? It was built as a factory modified S2000. Its rare, and its so well balanced out from the factory.

Take it to a road course track, maybe. You can have fun with it in that environment.

I would mod the other one you have, if you're just looking to toss parts at something because you're bored.

No offense...but the proposed build doesn't have a theme. Its counter productive.

The lightness from the titanium exhaust is drowned out from adding weight for audio equipment. And the sound from both will be drowned out by the other.
