3M rock chip protector
Hi, I'm thinking about installing the 3M paint and rock chip protector on my 03 sk2 and wondering if anyone else did the same to thier car, is it too hard to install it or is it just time consuming, please shed some light if you can. Thanks
It was on the car when I bought it, but I definitely recommend getting a shop to do it as it isn't the easiest area to work with especially if you are new. It is good stuff and has saved me a lot of paint chips for sure, but it doesn't stop everything.
Awesome feedback, I'll be driving back from Michigan so I definately wanna have it done. I can get a kit from ebay for $70 and may be have it installed by a pro, this one ebay seller has a pretty good rating and has sold hundreds of them for different car ofcourse, his listing says it not the cheap plastic film others are selling.

ebay link?
are you talking about the clear bra?
if so theres a thread for this somewhere.
there were mixed reviews...
some LOVE it but some said when you take it off, a lot of paint comes with it...
its also apparently hard as hell to install on the bumper with the curves..
if youre gonna do it, id say get it done professonally. i think it runs anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand..
i thought about getting it done to my front bumper and hood but its too late.
mines already pretty chipped up.

I had mine done by a pro and it is great. Make sure it is actually 3M product. Wnen you take it off it shouldn't pull off paint unless the car was repainted badly. On original there shouldn't be a problem and it is great. Doing the bumper with all the compound curves involved is a bitch so that is why it is best left to the pros if you want to make sure you get a proper job done. Talk to your local Honda dealer to find out who they sub this work to. I think I paid something like $700 all in. Good luck.

I know where you are coming from - I live there too (or close by). Please note that what was on eBay was only a partial kit and does not include the lower bumper protector, only the hood and fender protectors as well as the mirrors. I really think that you want the complete kit so see if you can find that on eBay. This is why this is so inexpensive - it's only half there!!!! I had mine put on by T&T but I am sure that Honda West would be equally able to do it for you depending where you live in the city or have your car serviced.
Yeah I believe its the clear bra, I should have it done because I live in chip stone Capital of the world "CALGARY"
