Default 4.57 NEW GEAR AVAILABLE!

The 4.57 differential is still available from MFACTORY and GEAR X, what is the better choice? It is noisy (Whine) like the RICHOND? And when i install it, can i ONLY change the pinion bearing and seal whith the right shims to adjust the backlash and do it is available only at HONDA (B/O 13 December) or it is available in jobber and at what price? Anywone have it and can give me some feedback? Thank you!

you have 75A diff mounts? in that case you are going to hear some diff screams. I have the 4.44 mazdaspeed gears and they whine faintly, then i modd the diff mounts to 60A and now i definitely can tell they whine. 4.57 are notorious for whining. as long as i can remember being on this board, all 4.56 and 4.57 whine. puddydad can make then whine "less" but not whine free. and with stiffer mounts, yea......it is not going to be quiet. even if you have an aftermarket exhaust. but, they do give that race car sound.

IMPO and experience the only 4.56 or 4.57 to buy is the Richmond brand. The GearX brand is by far the worst of all

ok but since richmond is discontinued, my only other choice is MFACTORY, what do you think of this?
