Default 4.77 Gears

So I have been toying with the idea of buying 4.77 gears for my00.
I know im going to sound like a noob but can anyone explain to me the pros and cons of these?
Thanks!

Great acceleration but at highway speeds rpm would be higher

They were fun around town for a while. However the car felt slower on the highway to me since you had to shift so often. I had higher hopes when I put them in though so I removed them after a while and went with a sc for the real added power.

I have installed many sets but I'm not a fan of the ratio for our car. A lot of owners love them but to me there is to much given up in overall performance.

This is my second S2000 now and I have to say that the 4.77 have been the best mod if you ask me. Read the stickies and use the search for pros and cons, it is a subject that keeps pops up almost on a daily basis.

is there a calculator for gear ratio + transmission that gives you top speed per gear?

It's great for the AP1 with the higher redline, but not so much for the AP2's

I've heard that the taller gears will add more miles faster to my car. If that makes sense. Like every X about of miles that I drive. XX amount goes on the clock? Is this true?

Plus I plan on keeping the car N/A for reliability since it's my DD. I only occasionally drive the highway 20 mins tops maybe once a week. And trip wise, every other month I take 45-60 min drive up a turn pike. Besides that I drive all city.

I realize this is going to give my car more umph at lower speeds but is it going to make it sluggish up top?

You need a speedo calibrator if you get gears of the tach and odometer will be out of wack. 4.77 gears are a 16% difference I believe. Something like that.
