Default 63 or 70mm HFC?

Hey guys,

My AP1 (2002) currently has a fujitsubo exhaust. I picked up a Toda header recently, and when I go to put it on, figure I'll take the opportunity to add a HFC. If I'm going to go through the trouble of removing the cat bolts, I might as well do it all at once, right?. Looking at Berk, but should I go 63 or 70mm? Since neither my exhaust (60.5mm) nor header (60mm exit) is large diameter, I should go with the 63mm one, right?

Car is NA, but keeping my options open for possibly adding a supercharger at some point. I have no intention of going with a larger (louder) exhaust. Test pipes are out of the question too.

get the 70mm if you plan on going FI later.

If you want to stay NA, stick with a 63 resonated, however, if you will go FI down the road, like boostftw said, go 70mm.

T1R offers both, 63S resonated and 70R nonresontated, both include defouler to eliminate CEL.

If you need a quote, PM me, we ship worldwide

Cheers.

resonated test pipe and HFC are two totally different animals though. HFC at least you have a chance to pass emmissions.

anywho, i have had both on my car, berk 70mm hfc and t1r resonated test pipe. if emmisions are a problem, or you dont like the stinky smell from a test pipe, then go berk 70mm HFc. they are awesome and hardly cost any hp compared to a test pipe. thing flows really well.

Ditto. Except I'm running a 3" Asura HFC, with no issues and plenty of power. I vote for 70mm it won't hurt anything, and if you go with something larger down the road you won't have another part to replace.

So there's no disadvantage to mixing a larger diameter HFC with smaller header/exhaust piping?
