This is quite possibly the worst sketch I have ever made of a design lol but maybe gets my point across. This would require being able to slot, cut, etc into that area so the lever sits behind all of that. The dotted portions show kind of what I mean there (lever is behind all the stuff in the dotted line portion). You would need to find a good way to affix the lever to the shaft as it would be behind the flat on the shaft I think and grinding more flat on it will be difficult if it is hardened.

Sketch makes perfect sense to me. It would have to be something like a ratcheting wrench.
Be cool if I could somehow use the OE frame and just swap the back and the bottom of the Recaros. That would solve everything
Got some parts in the mail; Corbeau sliders and mounting frame. Now the disclaimer when I ordered these was that they were for Corbeau seats, my thought was, might need to massage one of the mounting holes. No such luck.
I should probably take a min to gather my thoughts but I’m looking for feedback and ideas as much as posting for the community.
i still haven’t figured out how I want to solve the adjuster knob problem.
I’ve got a couple ideas about what I could do with the mounts but before I go any further and make cuts and permanent changes, I’m considering scraping the whole thing. Not the car. Just the idea of making these seats fit.
One of the reasons I like these seats is one of the reasons I have been struggling with them. THEY ARE WIDE! 16” on center between the frames, that’s US spec on framing a wall! Front to back would likely fit without too much heart ache. The Corbeau sliders have a nice mix of mounting slots and holes. So one of my thoughts was to disassemble the sliders to fit the width of the seats. All I would have to do is rebend the slender bar to make it fit the wider position. Then drill new holes on the frame. Not too bad
the other idea I had that would probably be the easiest, just make a mount with some flat stock that would allow me to attach the seat to the slider. 2 things I don’t love about that, it adds weight and height to the seat bottom. Could also make alignment of the seat a real bear.
