Adjusting coilovers
I could use a little help. I just finished installing Skunk2 Pro C coilovers on my car and found (find) myself scratching my head. Before I began I talked with the guys at Skunk and they told me to start with the threads right at the hole. I did this and it seems the rear is quite a bit higher than the front (lower than when I started but not like some of the pics I see posted. I'm not sure if I should wait to see if they settle or get back in there and drop them a bit more so it looks better balanced. The second adjustment that confused me is the adjustable nut at the spring. There was no indication of how snug this should be so I adjusted them to be the same (pretty much how they came out of the box). My objective in putting these on is to improve the handling and learn more about how to manipulate them for various conditions. I quickly have found out just how little I really know about them so decided to stop and ask for advice before proceeding. Any help will be appreciated.
"second adjustment that confused me is the adjustable nut at the spring"
are you referring to the spring preload adjustment? like a ring on which the spring sits? if so, try calling the manufacturer to see if they have any preload settings which you can set it to. if this fails, tighten the preload ring till it is hand tight, and then give it 1 or 2 turns with the cspanner. take a measurement and apply it to the otherside (left or right)
do the same with the rear. measure and apply to the other side.
in regards to ride height, the springs will settle in a couple of weeks. my advice would be to let them settle first, then take your car to a proper suspension tuner. Get the car corner balanced, afterall this is the main objective behind installing coilovers, and given the s2000s already have 50:50 weight distribution, a good starting point is a neutral setting.

Yes, the second adjustment is the spring preload, thanks. It was pretty late when I finished and I wasn't thinking too straight. What you described is what I did. I'll go ahead and give it a couple of weeks then take it for corner balancing. Thanks for the help
