AEM Help
Need some help with the AEM EMS.
My car as of right now, intake, nothing more, but plan in the upcoming months for a header/exhaust.
I realize AEM has two product numbers, 1052 and 1052U. I realize the difference is that U has that Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor.
If I have a stock setup with I/H/E looking for about 15-20 whp out of the EMS, do I need the UEGO?
If I do need the UEGO and I buy a used EMS that does not have the UEGO, can I purchase that seperately from AEM, and if so, how much am I looking at?
I also live in PA, and I know the UEGO has a lot to do with emission, so just throwing that out there if that helps.

You cant make power simply putting an EMS in your car. It needs to be tuned. Depending on where you take your car to tune it, they can put a wideband into your car to read your air to fuel. I personally would get the UEGO b/c Im a street tune guy and its my thing. You should get it, if you got the money to throw out there for an EMS why not go all out. Besides I believe there is a function in the EMS software to allow it to self adjust settings based on the wideband's readings.
Where in PA do you live, im right outside of philadelphia
