What do you guys think about the aem v2 intake, compared to the other intakes out there for the s2000?

i love it. i have one but my license have been suspended so i returned back to stock. but in the summer here in colorado it gets up to a 100 degrees and with the stock intake box i had lots of heat soak.

you wont lose power so thats a good thing, and no heat soak!

okay, i know this intake: "K&N 63 Series FIPK Air Intake" is one of the best intakes out there for the s2000, how would the aem v2 compare to it? also the S, gains 20.3bhp upon installation so idk lol. big consideration here, i've also heard the aem v2 and i also the growl.

the fipk is pretty good and i dont have nothing negative to say but a bit of heat soak.

NO intake will give you 20bhp haha. you will be lucky to get around 5hp. the s2000 barely gains anything from na mods.

but the aemv2 growl is very nice haha. never heard mine tho, i had invdia v3 with a tp... super loud! but great setup

lol the v3 is loud! im talking LOUD! my s2k was louder than muscle cars with straight pipes. Met only one car that was louder. and it was a 1100hp talon with the exhaust coming out the bumper haha.
i road with it for about a year and a half and i thought it was great! but its too loud of many people.

CT Icebox FTW

Had the V2, didn't like it. Plus running the risk of hydro locking is a no no...

Had V2, FIPK and now the icebox would get either the Icebox or FIPK with a AUT plate to give it some fresh air.

Have the V2 on my 05 S.... Pretty quiet compared to my Injen CAI on my CR. Both have stock exhausts. I prefer the Injen sound quality wise. The V2 I have to get all the way into vtec just to hear it growl.... The injen gets loud at 4k when you're on the throttle. Goodluck
