Default Aem v2 question

Hi all I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not but I just ordered my aem v2 and was looking at the placement of it and was wondering what the go is with the filter getting wet ??

Doesn't hurt anything. Don't drive through any 2' puddles though.

^^^Can't stress that enough.^^^

Some folks have chosen to shield their filter element against large splashes. Won't help with total submersion though. Stay alert in heavy rain.



Boy do I love the FIPK.

Ok thanks guys but what are cons if it gets wet and how do I get the water out?

Depends on how wet you get it. A little water is no big deal. Soaking the filter, however, is an issue.

Make sure you use an umbrella and/or plug the fender hole over the filter or else your filter will get soaked while you're parked in the rain.

Thats why you get the KN FIPK...as much power (on dyno anyway, while moving is debateable...) better noise and almost no hydrolock possibility

Why would a CAI move more air while moving? Their's zero "ramming" going on.
