Aftermarket Clutch
So do most of you guys upgrade your clutch only when you went to a F/I system or have you done it just as a mod. Is there any benefit to upgrading the clutch like it will deliver more power to the wheels or what?
Also if you upgrade the clutch does it have the same glass smooth linear engagement or is it considerable heavier feeling..
Just curious that is all..

When I bought my car it had a clutch rattle. I opted to change the clutch out because of this rattle. I went with the Comp. Clutch Stage 2 kit, clutch, 11lbs flywheel, throw out bearing, and pressure plate. Once I swapped everything out I felt no difference in peddle feel. It actually almost felt lighter.
After a few weeks it started to get harder and harder to press in. I cleaned out my master cylinder and the lines and filled everything with new fluid and it brought everything back to stock feeling again.
I love my stage 2 setup. It grabs so much much better, it does take a while to get use too, especially with the light weight flywheel.
All in all I would say if your clutch is fine right now leave it alone, unless you are going to a) track the car or b) boost it. But if you need to change it out look into a stage 2 (just my opinion). you could get a light weight flywheel, but it makes the car a pain to drive some days, especially when breaking it in
