Air Pump Delete Kit
I already tried searching but the search server is currently down.
I bought the Air Pump Delete Kit that comes with a black module and a block-off plate. The black module has been installed correctly (wiring all match up).
My question is the secondary air pump, the one on the intake manifold. In the kit, I only received the block-off plate. Is there anything else I should have in the kit? What happens to all the tubing and wiring that's now disconnected? Don't I need a module for that too to not cause a CEL?
Thanks.

go into the group buy section and look for the thread. gt motoring has been working on a technical fix for this for about a month or so. they are aware of the problem and trying to get updated fixes out to those that purchased them.
the problem seemed to be the difference between the canadian wiring and the us. i think the canadian ones got the EDM stuff, so the wiring isn't the same.

I was about to say, from what I understand you just get to hack away all the air pump stuff and block off the IM hole. Not sure the deal on the Canadian cars.
*EDIT. Just went through the thread, good thing I didn't install mine when i got it. It seems there is still a wiring issue on the USDM cars that can cause the car to not crank or run after a couple of thousand of miles with the black box relay hookup.
But if you have AEM EMS, I think you can still use just the blockoff plate.

The problem is it doesn't work as advertised, you are SOL unless they come up with a fix. It won't cause any other adverse effects unless you have a piggyback ECU which will have constant power and drain your battery.

could have been handled better from the start...but i have confidence in gt motoring they will get the fix out and working properly. i'll pick one up just as soon as they do.
Yea I was lucky to get in on the 2nd buy. I am all about shaving weight from cars, its helps the car perform better in EVERY aspect (accel, braking, handling).
If I run AEM EMS soon I can sell my black box and the fix and then someone would only need the blockoff plate, which i think HT guy sells.
