can it be positioned further inside to decrease the gap between the diffuser edge and the bumper?

My problem with trying to get the diffuser to mount "flush" with the AP2 bumper was that even if the diffuser is flush with the rear edge of the AP2 bumper, the radius on the underside of the bumper wont' line up flush with the AP2 bumper unless its 1.5" back under the AP2 bumper. So basically, if you want it without the gap to look flush, the diffuser will sit behind the bumper more.

I've modified the front section (hopefully for the last time) so that the AP1 and AP2 mounting positions are 2" apart and made the rear section an inch shorter again. Now when you mount the rear portion of the diffuser to the AP2 mounting position, it will sit an inch further forward than the one in the pictures. I will also put the bumper mounting holes closer to the back edge so it pulls in tighter to the bumper.

alSpeed2k should be coming down to the shop again in the next couple and I'll try the shorter panel on his car again. It should be a pretty quick install and we'll have updated pics.

I've already started cutting out some panels from the design that you've just seen, but I'll make sure these go to AP1 guys so the AP2 guys get the "flushest" mounting possible

Here are some pics of the 2 mounting positions if what I said didnt make any sense. You can also see where I've slotted what used to be a hole so you can move the rear portion around a bit to get exactly what you want. Hopefully this pleases as many people as possible.

AP1

AP2

Thank you for this. I'm trying to avoid looking "rice" at all costs so a flush mount is highly preferred.
