Default Amuse vs. T1R

I had my amuse dual extra titan exhaust for quiet a while. I got an offer for it so I decided to replace it with something new and I got myself a T1R 70mm em single (wanted a dual but it's out of stock).

so here's some of the comparison points:

Amuse

pros:
-super light at 13 lbs for full catback dual exhaust
-sounds perfect to me for both street and track
-full titanium bling
-noticeable sound change at vtec

cons:
-drones a bit around 4k rpm decelerating
-$2500 brand new

T1R

pros:
-sounds pretty good from outside
-small tip for more stock look?
-pretty quiet for single 70mm exhaust

cons:
-a little more booming than amuse
-welds and finishes are not what I expected...
-feel lose of torque at low rpm compare to my 63mm amuse
-vtec transition is not as noticeable
-quiet heavy for single exhaust

Overall I'm not exactly happy that I made the change from amuse to T1R. But I totally understand that these two are not really comparable because one is Ti and the other one is stainless steel. Not to mention about the price difference... (twice as much...)
I was expecting the T1R would be better in terms of performance but I think it failed to meet my expectations...
Maybe all the dyno test of the T1R are from AP2's and mine is Ap1.

So to my conclusion... Amuse still wins the competition in every way so I may get another one in the future.

i think its quite common to lose that low rpm torque by going to a 70mm on a NA engine... but at least you have the exhaust set up for a sc now

Good comparison. Still the 70em single is one of the best 70mm singles out there. I had one before and sold it and will be looking for another very soon I think. Hard to beat amuse though. I'd love an r1000

The 70EM will definitely show more gains once the car is tuned for it. Does Evasive still produce the 70EM Ti version?

You didn't feel the power which is true because there's a thread about putting 70em T1R exhaust that don't gain anything on Ap1s but everyone had gains with the t1r 70mm on Ap2 models. T1r is a good exhaust, it just wasn't matched up to your car which is Ap1. Hope this helps..

I got T1R and I feel more response in vtec and mid range on my Ap2.
