Default Another owner of Forbiddenusa Mugen Hardtop

Hi everyone, new to the S2000 Scene. first off i bought s2000 Dec 8th 2013. Granted it wasn't good looking to begin with with the poorly painted flat white from previous owner. Loud fart cannon, and other things that needed TLC.

Things done
-re-sprayed gloss white
-new rims
-lip kit
-ASM replica front bumper
-replaced very damaged headlights
and a few other things

Though i love the soft top and sometimes sunny weather in Colorado. I like to enjoy it with the top down, but since its going to snow more often in the upcoming months. ive decided to get a Hardtop searching around and saw good reviews from S2ki.com So i jumped on it.

Their communication was great! turn around time was little over 1 week. When i finally got it has some imperfection, like some bubbles in the resin. Did not really bother me since ill be painting over it.

Fit and finish is 9.5 out of 10. No install guides but found on on here s2ki.com pretty straight forward and installed my own rear glass.

here some pictures
started painting it, and doing a slightly different two tone look

over all came out pretty cool!,

oh forgot the install pictures

before the install i used shin etsu grease, to prevent creaking rubbing sounds. So far no squeaks or wind noise what so ever!

If those look like 14's then you've never seen actual 14's.

On topic, the car looks good.

Hmmm, that's a unique touch painting the recess in the hardtop. I like it!

Thanks! yeah Ive search around, for the 2 tone and what people done. Ive seen different style looks, and ones like painted pillar and top center black and the side black. but i haven't seen anyone paint the recess area, and side black.

Did you install the rear window yourself? If so, can you post a guide with pictures?

i just used this DIY that was on this site.

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/828...rdtop-install/

i used 3M window weld i got at Pepboys, maybe autozone has them too?? to install the rear window. It was easy to install, make sure you put enough all the way around. Then i just put some 15lbls-20lbls dumbbells to press it down firmly and hold it there while it dried.

i know mine held well, since i had the windows rolled down doing 80MPH+ and still there lol. n.n

Did you sand and prime the hood where the 3M window weld goes onto?
