Default Anti-Sway Bars

Alright,

1.Are all anti-sway bars the same?

2.Which is better, adjustable or non-adjustable?

3.Recommendations?

Thanks.

No they are not all the same. Some are more stiff than others.

Which is best depends on how you use the car. If you are autoxing or tracking the car, then the best is the Gendron adjustable bar. The Comptech Adj is probably next best. Both are a little hard to get these days.

If you aren't racing, then what is your goal...what do you want to change about your car's handling?

A front swaybar can help an ap1 if the owner wants to start running 225 front tires instead of 205. That will help maintain handling balance dispite the increased front grip.

A front swaybar on an otherwise stock ap2 that is not raced is a bit of a waste.

A stiffer rear swaybar is not recommended on the s2k.

Yeah,

I plan on running in AS with MY06 so I am only allowed to use a front one.I did some searching, but I really couldn't find anything about Grendon, I actually have never heard of them, but I was able to get on Comptech's website and found swaybars for the S but they are non-adjustable. They only come in a set too...

Reach out to Small Fortune Racing for the Gendron bar to see if they are making any more:

Otherwise, you might try getting the CR front bar.

Aside from that look for a Saner bar, or Cusco.

Hey, I have been running an AP1 in AS for over a year now. I have the comptech adjustable sway bar on full stiff. The car handles way better. I run hankook rs2 225F/245R. On race day I run Hoosier A6 same sizes. The car handles super good on r-comps, and pretty well on street tires.

Yeah, either the Gendron or comptech bars are the way to go. I think the stiffest adjustable bar is the comptech one, though. The stiffer in the front the better for the s2k and especially the AP1. If you ever get out of "AS" then you can remove the rear sway bar and that would help your car handle better too.

Here's a site for reference:

Page 2 talks about sway bars. A little old, but the info is still really good.

So are sway bars more beneficial if you plan on running wider than stock tires? Also as far as an AP2 goes, do you think it would be noticeable to run a CR sway bar up front even though I have KW V3's already?

InitialA, Can I ask you a question? Why are you posting with words like help in the title with questions about modifications for a car you don't even own yet?

Well the reason I put "Help!" there was so that people would know that I wanted help and wasn't posting to share my experience with Anti-Roll Bars. Sorry if you find it annoying but I just want to gain as much information as possible...

I see a sense of urgency when I see the word help with an exclamation point behind it. I suggest you do a search. This topic has been covered a lot.
