Default Any one ever use DEI Reflect-A-Gold

Has anyone used DEI Reflect a Gold?

Ive seen it on the intake of a K&N. Does it really work? On the heat guard.

From threads I've seen it does seem to help but something about wrapping everything in the engine bay in shiny tape screams ghetto S2000. But, I guess its still functional

It's hardly ghetto. One look at any form of auto racing, Indy, world challenge and you'll see almost every team using the stuff....

I wrapped my K&N with it..

Does it do anything?? Hard to say, probably not

Does it look good/bad/ricey? I kind of have a black & gold/bronze theme going, so it matches. but I think it looks OK.

I've only seen it in turbo applications where you don't want parts to get burnt.

I was really impressed with it I did a 30 minute session on the track and the box wasn't even warm to the touch even over the radiator or near the engine. No special data just the touch test but I can assume that cooler intake temps lead to better engine performance.

Had some pieces left over and was bored so I did my brake lines. No data to support this

Well I am turbo'd anf have my cool side charge pipe wrapped, wires wrapped on the exhaust side and the oil lines wrapped near the header so I guess I am ghetto. Now is it necessary to wrap these things...YES. I am not into how pretty my car looks as long as it is functional and not terrible looking. I don't car about a color scheme as long as I have a strong and reliable 500 whp car.
