Default Anyone knew about this?

I didn't know about this, saw it when I picked up some oil on my way to work. I knew they had high mileage but this is a full synthetic.

The funny thing is that their website makes no mention of it at all. Their website is pretty terrible. I'm sure the oil is great, though.

They do, but I agree, their website is pretty lackluster.

Yep, all the oil advertisements are true. Every one is better than the other.

My titanium watch adds at least 9 bhp when I wear it in the car and the oil is better too.

My car has been using Castrol Edge most of it's life, so I stick to it. I just didn't know that they made a high mileage full synthetic. As far as I can tell they released the MDS for this in November of 2015 so to me it's a relatively new product. I only mentioned it because most of us don't have low mileage S2k's especially if they're daily driven.

This is my head at 145k miles, so I plan to keep using it.

This isn't a thread about how good this or that motor oil is, it's about a full synthetic high mileage oil

Which I didn't know was a thing because all the other oil manufacturers either use conventional or synthetic blends for their high mileage oils.

"High Mileage" is advertising hype.

Is there something different about it from their non-High Mileage oil? Sure.

But there is nothing consistent about whatever the difference is from one manufacturer to another.

Oil products are changing real fast, Castrol seems to be bringing out new stuff all the time.

High mileage oils tend to have a bit more cleaning additives, and seal conditioners, maybe a small difference in viscosity ? I'd estimate that the anti-wear additive package is the same as the regular Edge Titanium. I'd be curious to see the viscosity specs.

Synthetic HM oils might be rare as most people don't want to spend extra money on synthetic oils for higher mileage cars that are worth less money. This could be a niche oil that caters to higher end car owners as the average consumer is going to go with the lower cost alternatives for their older rust buckets. Looks like a good product though.
