Anyone Ordered From New_Parts_World?
I came across some "authentic" Spoon parts brand new on ebay and they appear to be very cheap for what they are. I contacted the seller and he specified they were 100% authentic and will ship in original spoon boxes ect and they appear to have very good feedback but I was curious if anyone else has dealt with them.

I'm skeptical given the price. Cheap price doesn't equal Spoon. Maybe contact Spoon to determine if this shop is an official distributor. Hate for you I shell out dollars for something not Spoon. Let's hope it's the real thing. Good luck.
Spoon does not have a USA division. Gotuning is their official USA distributor. I also doubt these are real. The fenders are $200 cheaper then what gotuning has them for. I would email Gotuning and ask if these guys are a customer.
their ebay listings say the parts will ship from the Kansai Region, Japan. So i doubt they are a GoTuning customer. If anything, they would have bought directly from Spoon or form a local Japanese dealer. Having that said, they seem to mainly do FRS/86 parts so maybe one of their customers bought these spoon parts and didn't want them in the end? who knows. The pricing AND the shipping cost seem very cheap, especially since it's a flat rate $70 U.S. shipping cost so it does seem a bit fishy.
I'd contact them via Ebay and ask them to send pictures of the actual fenders and the spoon logos (if any). That way you are somewhat protected if they ship a fake part that doesn't look anything like the authentic parts. You can file a claim and use the pictures they sent.

Contacted them for curiosity's sake and apparently they will be offering the front and rear bumper also. Not sure anyone makes a replica of the rear bumper? I asked for pictures of the actual item and they stated there were pictures in the listing of the actual item and spoon doesn't mark their products. I've never seen an authentic piece to confirm the last statement though.
They also stated they do not stock the items but would be more than happy to send pictures of the box ect before shipping them out. Seems they may be getting them directly from spoon? Still seems cheap though..

If you look on the Spoon.jp website, these ebay prices are right around the MSRP listed. There is a mark up on items from japan, especially big ones due to shipping im sure.
If you get bored one day you can look on yahoo auctions japan and see this. For instance, 17" TE37SL http://page14.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/j...ion/s375971218
Converts to roughly $406 where the same wheel sells for nearly double here.
Anyway, it appears they are correct, about the fenders atleast:
If I had a spare $800 i'd try it out, I need some fenders

My entire authentic kit I sourced out over a year from multiple shops including opak racing for the hardtop, front and rear bumper, aj-racing for the front and rear fenders and the hood from a s2ki member. All these parts were brand new never used and all came in a raw white primer finish. They all had the spoon badge except for the front and rear fenders which weren't badged or labeled with "spoon" at all. Hope this helps?
p.s. all this took place from 07-08 so keep that in mind they might've changed the way they make them??

Probably just going to bite the bullet and place an order Monday for the front fenders. Worst case if they are replica pieces and fit properly I only have 500 in them after selling my oem fenders. I'll keep the thread posted with how everything goes.
I contacted them as well. Mr Suzuki responded pretty quickly stating that he is "more than 100% sure the parts are genuine" and that he wouldnt even know where to find a replica spoon part in Japan. He also stated that he doesnt have the space to stock big items, but he would be happy to take pictures of the spoon mirrors he has in stock to prove authenticity or take pictures of any big items that may be bought. And finally, he is also able to source other Japanese parts such as J's Racing.
I told him I would pass the word along to the US S2000 enthusiasts. My personal opinion is that he seems very genuine himself and he has very good feedback from other parts. Again if I had the extra money or felt like going $800 more in debt id place an order. Mongomery1234, if you do, let us know.
