AP1 to AP2 then to AP1
Hi I have a 2000 S2000 which was modified by the previous owner by installing a lot of AP2 parts except for the rear bumper. Now I am bringing the car back to AP1 which I like better. I have already replaced the front bumper. I would like to install an AP1 taillight but the body has been cut etc. Is there a DIY guide to help me install the AP1 taillight? How about the headlamps, it has Ap2's can I just buy Ap1 headlamps and install? Thanks
As far as I am aware, you can still install AP1 tail lights in a chassis that's been modded for AP2 tails, you'll just have one stud that you can't put a nut on since the sheet metal is missing.
AP1 headlamps require an AP1 HID ballast and ballast pigtails.
Reverting back to an AP1 front bumper requires all the AP1 fender liners/splash shields.
The tail lamp question was answered accurately. But you'll have to do quite a bit to ensure no water leaks into the trunk or tail lamp. You may also have to un-modify the wiring by going back to AP1 connectors, depending on how the PO did it.
Search AP1 to AP2 conversions and work in reverse.
Surf honda parts sites and compare the diagrams.
