That could be true...its probably "safe" because its clipped in on top, and bolted in from each side...but your bumper might flap around more.

Maybe you could bend it in a "U" shape so you could bold the AP1 under clips under?

 

Thanks for reply. I just cut mine. Idk how people bend it, it was like metal like ummm part of frame. I prob check it out see if I can use ziptie or something
