Default AP1 Headlight Gaskets

Hello - My 17+ year old AP1 S2000 needs new gaskets around the headlights. The old ones have dried out and are mis-shapen and often pop out above the headlights. They are still intact, but probably not for long. Honda says they are only available as part of new headlight assemblies. What have others done? Is there a way to replace these thin black rubber gaskets? Thanks in advance!

Attached is a picture with an arrow pointing at the gasket causing me grief. It is pushed in right now, but it is all dried out and pops out when wind flows over it at freeway speeds. I've tried shinetsu grease, but I think it is too far gone. There is one above each headlamp assembly and they apparently aren't separate parts. Kinda stupid to buy $800 headlamp assemblies for a rubber gasket.

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone have any idea where to find the gaskets? Both of mine on my AP1 are toast. Surely I dont need to buy a whole new headlight!?

Hmmm.

Maybe I should pay more attention to that gasket when I am doing maintenance on rubber bits.

I may have the same problem. I saw another thread where people buy "OEM" style headlights from eBay, then swap the outer clear cover. Perhaps those eBay lights have the gasket?

Looks like the way to go...pillage some ebay headlights for parts rather than spend 1k on new old stock

Those covers are easily removable? This is a good idea.

I'm the OP - my original gaskets are toast - dried out and crumbled away. Dealer said they only come as part of new light assemblies. I'm seriously tempted to just fill the gap with this: https://www.permatex.com/products/ga...asket-maker-4/. I used it once for something similar and it worked pretty well.
