FOR THE SECOND TIME NOW I LAUNCH MY AP1 WITH THE STAGE 4 CLUTCH AND MY DRIVER SIDE AXLE BREAKS.I WAS TOLD THAT I CANNOT DUMP MY CLUTCH AT ANY RPM. WHEN IT HAPPEN I DUMPED IT AT AROUND 5K RPM. CAN I DUMP MY CLUTCH OR NOT? IF IT MATTER I HAVE A LITTLE MORE POWER THAN STOCK BUT NOTHING CRAZY (N/A)

 

 

You have to preload.

not often but i had just gotten my car back i wanted to see what it can do. i am on the oem wheels with some cheap street tires.

i think preloading in this case would be to let the clutch engauge a little bit right before you dump it

 

makes a lot of sense, i do feel some play in the drive-shaft so if i preload it i should eliminate the play before dumping it. tomorrow the axles get put on again and ill test it out. thanks for the help

 

Preloading is like punching someone after you've placed your fist on their face. Lot less impact.
