Default ap1 power drop off

wats the best way to solve is problem since its a pretty steep drop off on the stock cars.. i kno intake and exhaust wont solve it.. would i have a 2 get a VAFC to fix it? or is there an easier solution? i kno short shiftin woud seem logical but then i get dropped outa vtec if im really pushin it.

I used the Honda-Tech Babel Fish translator so he would understand me.

No, with I/E/H test pipe and VAFCII we were not able to stop the drop off power after 8300.

Maybe it's the tuner...but my drop off with VAFC was not so much. I don't have a non-tuned baseline, but a stock ap1 will drop about 10-12whp on the dyno I use. The pic shows my "baseline" dyno with a VAFC 1 and then an AEM EMS. Note the loss with the VAFC was delayed till about 8600rpm and the loss till fuel cut at 9200rpm was about 4whp.

See that the tuned AEM EMS almost completely takes the loss away.

Here is another chart from the same dyno. The top line is a healthy non-tuned ap1. The lower line is the same car with a tune, but being diagnosed for a power loss...note he was making seriously less power and atmospheric conditions were almost identical (not enough to make that big of a difference). We later determined that his exhaust was falling apart with exhaust leaks.

But the important part is to notice that the VAFC tuned line shows minimal power loss in the last few hundred rpm, where as the untuned line has the normal drop.
