Default ap2 to ap1 rear bumper

so far i seen a few s2k ap1 with really nice rear diffuser . i love the look.. not sure how well they function but never did like having a wing.

wonder if i can swap to a ap1 rear bumper to use a rear diffuser.. or has anyone done this and is it a straight swap with no mods?.. since i seen alot of people dong ap1 to ap2 conversions .. ie headlights taillights and bumpers

Anything is possible with little work for rear bumpers.. I would even be willing to go on a limb here and say someone would probably like to give you their AP1 bumper in trade for your AP2 for free. Same color and all. I would get a membership, post a WTT in the for sale forum and get what you need. Prob even somone local.

Good Luck

This is true with the exception of the bracket that the push clips go into (at the very bottom underside of the bumper) you either have to shorten it to except the AP1 mounting points or just not use it. Depending on the diffuser you can use it to secure the diffuser (like Huys2200 did with the J's diffuser).

The AP1 reabumper sits much higher than the AP2 rear bumper. I say leave it and get the Top seceret or Spoon diffuser

I have an MY06 with AP1 rear bumper. The mounting brackets on the bottom of the car will not mount with the ap1 rear bumper because the brackets hang lower.

I don't know about other colors but for gpw, the brackets were like an ivory color and looked like something was missing because you can see it from the rear of the car. Like 2 leftover pieces exposed. I sprayed it with matte black primer and it's darkened out and i don't even remember it's there sometimes anymore.

The top secret diffuser is a straight bolt up with the AP2?
