Default AP2 front bumpter onto AP1

Ive read the FAQS and know what im doing, but I saw some posters said that the front bar that the absorber rests on needs to have the corners cut or bent in so tha it does not give the bumper dimples.

Couldnt I just use the AP2 front bumper beam, is the beam compatable as a direct bolt on?

Yes sir, an ap2 beam will go right onto an ap1 no problem. Most people dont wanna spend money on a whole different beam when they can easily just cut the corners of theirs.

i already have the dimples on my ap2 bumper on my ap1, so my question is... should i still remove bumper and cut the corners/replace with ap2 beam?

just wondering if it can do more damage, or the hairline cracks that i already have will be the most damage... is it too late to cut the corners to reduce any further damage?

I would just cut it, it wouldnt hurt anything thats for sure. I installed my ap2 front bumper last week and cut my beam today. (no dimples) Just curious dmacedo... how long was it after install did you notice the cracking?

probably a few months, not sure if i just didn't notice it earlier, or if it really just started now. but when i washed it one time i noticed it, it started on one side for me, and i thought for some reason it was from something else, then i noticed both sides... at least they match :/

Does anyone know if Honda sells the hardware to install the AP2 bumper? i dont want to buy individual nuts, clips, and screws, rather a hardware package. Or does anyone know what part numbers i'll need?
