Default Ap2 tail lights with Ap1 lens?

I have a set of ap1 taillights with good lens, and a set of ap2 taillights with cracked lens, is it possible to install the ap1 lens onto the ap2 tails with an oem fit/look?

YES, the lenses are the same. I have actually put my AP1 lenses in my AP2 housings after cracking the AP2 lenses.

Tail light lenses are VERY tricky to get out (I broke 3 of them trying to remove them). I would suggest that you cut the lens from the housing instead of trying to pry it out.

the lenses are not the same, but they will fit. just be generous with the heat gun (but be careful not to bubble the clear lens) and take your sweet time. only time i cracked one (out of 6) was when i was rushing it.

nothing major, just small tweaks to the design in terms of where the lines n such are. sorta like the difference between ap2 headlight lens and the ap1s. same size and dimensions, but different molds in the plastic

Those are ugly imo but yea. You can install ap2 lights with some cutting.

Do a search. It's been done quite a few times.
