Default ARC Intake Box & Chamber....

Hey guys, The plan was to buy a AP1. I got a good deal locally for a used ARC Box & Chamber off of a guy with an AP1. I ended up buying an 06 AP2. Now my question is can I use the intake with my 06? Visably it looks like I cannot use the intake because of the IAT sensor in the intake tube. I compared with a friends AP1 and his intake tube has no sensors in it. Can I use the ARC or do I have to sell it?

Thanks in advnace
Mike

Unless your really into looks, just sell it anyways, not a very good intake for performance.. No idea on whether it will work or not but I know that I had a similar problem with the K&N but it was able to get it to work. Good luck!

I'm going to try and make it work somehow first. If I were to sell, any idea on what I could sell it for?

You might be able to, I'm not exactly sure how the set up with that intake is. Idk though, I know it's not very popular with a lot of people on here because of how it heat soaks. You might still be able to sell it here though it's a good looking intake. I'm not sure on the price though..

You could probably get $400 out of it. Yeah it's definetly not a very good intake, it doesnt really help anything except for give you more heatsoak than the OEM airbox. It's mainly just for looks. Also you might be able to drill a hole in the chamber part then get a rubber gromment to put in there to hold the sensor if you keep it.

I just sold my K&N FIPK and bought a CT-Enginering (comptech) ice box and its night and day difference i feel the car way more throttle response and just feels like it pulls better! It might be in my head but I love it!

I just installed both Arc intake box and chamber in my 07 s2k. I had the same issues with mine, and also started a thread for it. for the newer 06+ s2k, we have a IAT sensor which doesnt have any spot to mount into on the chamber arm, so what i did was took the sensor off the stock arm, and installed it into the front hole of the chamber( 06+ dont use a vacuum hose like the older models).
