Default ARC SHIFT KNOB

I was wondering this newb question...I've been searching, couldnt find it.

How do you tell if the ARC shift knob is AUTHENTIC or not? I seen a lot of people selling used ARC shift knobs. I also know moddiction sells titanium shift knobs. To me, they all look alike. I think we all want to know how to tell from ARC and other brands, incase some of us on here gets scammed (non ARC for ARC price). I understand ARC comes with a box, I could buy some ARC knobs, switch it out and keep the ARC ones to sell or w.e and sell the fake ones for the real price. (not me, just saying)

Thanks

Get the seller to take a picture of the insert that you shifter screws in to. A real ARC know will have a M18 threaded hole with a white plastic threaded insert in it. ARC is the only one that does it that way.

agreed the insert is white plastic...plus the finish on the metal is not as polished smooth as say the Moddiction...but that's just my experience

The white plastic inserts are the ones that were made after 2007. The one that is pre 2007 didn't have any inserts just a FYI

I ran outside to snap a quick picture of mine. Mine's survived 4 previous cars so it's a lil knicked up. Hope this helps!
