Default Asm overfender install price

I just picked up a set of over fenders and was quoted 1500 for the install. Does this seem normal to you guys? Seems a bit high to me :/

Cutting the fenders, welding, primer/painting the quarter panels, painting the over fenders, and install for $1500. Sounds about right. I'm about to get the same work done, we'll see how much that costs in a few days.

thats crazy, get the fenders painted for $200 and do the install yourself, its easy. the only part is rewelding the panels back together, have a shop do that after you cut it.

Which shop here in the Bay quoted you that? Are you going to rivet them on or use something like timecerts?

I got that from TNT auto body in Sacramento

As for installing them myself, can I just use a dremel to cut it and seal it up with sealant to prevent rust?

And whats the diff between rivets and timecerts?

I used a air cutoff wheel and then seam-sealed the rear quarters. I put riv-nuts in my rear quarters so I could screw the flare on and off the car.
