ATTENTION: 70mm Invidia Test Pipe Owners: please read!
I just recently picked up a 70mm Invidia Test Pipe from Evasive Motorsports (GREAT shop by the way). While installing the Invidia test pipe, I overlaid the 3 hole gasket that Invidia provides for proper positioning. Now, for most gaskets, they have a diameter that is slightly LARGER than the pipes mating to them, so that there is a little leeway in fitment and positioning when being installed. But when I placed the Invidia supplied gasket over their test pipe, the diameter of the hole on the gaskter looked like it was SMALLER than the inner diameter of the piping!!! I centered the gasket and the ran my finger around the pipe and gasket, and I could definitely feel that the gasket was sticking into the flow of the pipe. I grabbed a ruler, and sure enough, the gasket hole was SMALLER!!! The measurement of the INNER diameter of the test pipe was 67mm (that's because the outer diameter is 70mm). The diameter of the gasket hole was 64mm!!! So the gasket is choking down the test pipe, negating the point of it being the large 70mm diameter!!! I took pictures of my measurements, but can't remember my web hosting access, so if someone wants to host my pics, I'll send it to you.
So I called Invidia today, and told them about it. They sounded surprised when I told them about it, and said that they would talk to their supplier about it. They told me to give them a call back in a month. Now, I really hope they follow through and fix this issue, but unfortunately, I've seen aftermarket companies not care either. So, if you are a current 70mm Invidia test pipe owner, please call Invidia and let them know that you want a new, properly sized gasket! The more people know about this and call Invidia, the more they will make it a priority and fix it quickly. I dunno if I can post the phone number here, but here is the link to it on their website:

The person I spoke to is Gordon. Let's hope they fix their error and keep the Invidia name reputable!

Incorrect. The material at the "lip" of the gasket is a metal ring. It's a nice little piece if it were the right size, but that ring will never burn off. If it was that flimsy, I would have just trimmed it off. Unfortunately, can't trim off that metal ring without losing a lot of it's effectiveness.

Guessing that the material protruding into the pipe will have little or no effect and will probably quickly burn away in any case.
Well, that is always an option, but I paid good money to buy this test pipe and expect that the gasket would actually be the correct size. What's the point of buying "bolt on" parts when I have to custom make and/or modify things to make it work properly?

Buy some gasket material and make your own. I assume the metal ring is compression sensitive and not sure how important it is compared to standard gasket material which I think should work just as well.
Agree 100%. You did the right thing; unfortunately doing the right thing typically results in the longer wait. What's that they say about nice guys finishing last?
Gordon at Invidia will stay on top of it. I had been in contact with him for a long time waiting for my CEL fix since it didn't come with my TP (small adaptor that pulls the O2 sensor away from the TP). He always replied to my emails and kept me informed. He'll stay on top of this. I don't recall having that issue with my gasket and TP though (purchased over a year ago).
