Default Attn OEM Hardtop Owners...

I know we're the cool crew when it come's to the S2000 but i was wondering if you all have wind noise above 40 mph? On the passenger side more than the driver you can actually feel a cool breeze. I don't like it and want it fixed, but i don't know if i've done something wrong or if it's a defect or just something that happens with hardtops, clueless help me please

you might want to check the installation - the instructions talk about misalignment (mainly in reference to leaking), and although i don't get a breeze, i do have a slight wind noise - nothing worse than the softtop, but noticeable. you can adjust the strikers to tighten things up, and make sure that the rear end is cranked down enough.

I have some wind noise above 40 mph, but it is quite minor. My wind noise is on the driver's side of the car and sounds as though it is in the area between the glass and the seal above and slightly behind the driver's left ear.

Yeah, the windnoise can be kinda annoying. I think I traced mine back to the gap at the bottom of the window towards the rear, where the hardtop is supposed to line up with the top edge of the door. Basically, you can fiddle with the alignment of the top by loosening the bolts on the rear pins and shifting things around. All, in all, it's still better than the overall noise of the softtop...

When I received my hard top I had to line up the 2 sides where the hard top clamps into place. After doing so the was only alittle wind noise. Still check to see if all the rubber lines up near the 2 windows.

Great suggestion! My noise didn't appear until a short time after returning from the dealer. I think I'll try fiddling with the top alignment and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion!

I know this post is really old, but...

I was able to seal the gap at the rear really good after modifying the bracket. see pictures.

it sounds like your catchers need a little adjustment.

do you have the HT strikers on the windshield or the stock ones? well, both are "stock" but they changed em a little i believe.

NOTE: mine was installed at the dealer or factory (dont know which but it wasnt a DIY) and the top was originally ordered with the initial sale of the car.
