Default Aut cooling pate effectiveness

I just ran my car with and without the cooling plate. i found the temperature seam to be hotter with the cooling plate. I was wondering if anyone else has proof whether the cooling pate is effective with stock airbox? and yes i did reove the oem cooling pate thx

which temperature, IAT or coolant? How did you measure, to say "seems to be hotter"?

I would expect that the plate has a greater effect on allowing the engine to breathe freely (with possible mild ram air effect at speed) than it does on IAT.

What? Some whiz-bang look-at-me-now mod that doesn't do what it says it does? How's that even possible?

You removed the OEM plate that keeps pressure up and air going through the radiator, so of course temps will be up.

yah i kept the stock stuff there and put this plate over the top...mine has that ram air duct on it.

i noticed that after a jaunt on the road the air box is actually cold to the touch where as before it was quite hot. but as for coolant temps, because i left the stock stuff there, i had no change.

take an obd2 scanner, and do it over looking at the IAT temperature
Let us know how it works out. BTW I won't be surprised if it actually will be hotter with the "cooling" plate
