Default Axle Spacer hardware

Hi there,

I seem to have purchased some used axle spacers sans hardware. Anyone have specs on the bolts handy by chance?

They're M10X1.25 pitch.

Try to buy class 10.9 JIS spec hex flange screws/nuts if you can find them in the right length. Zinc plated if you can find it. Phosphated if you can't find it.

If you can't find JIS spec hardware, use class 12.9 screws and class 10 JIS flange nuts. DON'T buy your class 12.9 screws in zinc plate, as this is unsafe.

Screws need to be in the correct length needed for your spacer. So...they need to be the OEM length + the thickness of your spacer.

Don't lose your mind with the torque. Its like 60LB-FT. That's like the upper limit of torque for C10.9 hardware in that size.

Thanks for the tip on hardware classes.

Apologize for asking for the spoon feeding but wrench time is few and far between, whereas screentime is extremely high due to my line of work. I'll see if i can pull a bolt out tonite, was wishing upon a star i could get my McMasterCarr order in today.

What thickness are your spacers?

The factory bolt is 25mm long (underhead length) and is partially threaded. Add your spacer thiccness...and bam.

Thank you that's what i needed. Ideally i'd like to add the spacer thicccness to the shoulder length, but i don't think it's mission critical in this case.

Thanks again, ordered JIS Zinc stuff from MMC. 35mm was the play.

Cool man. JIS should have the correct amount of thread vs shoulder.

I figured 35mm would do you.
