Bee*R Rev Limiter / Power Builder
Ive been doing some research on the Bee*R rev limiter aka misfire system.
I wanted to know if anyone has it on there S2k or if you know some one who has it on thier S2k? I am planning on buying it but ive only seen it on 240's and skylines. Bee*R does make it for the S2k though. Any input is great! thanks, Alex
I'm not going to say it serves no purpose, because it does. However, your money could be spent better elsewhere.
It's mainly for the "Drift" crowd, who's engines constantly tap the rev limiter. Instead of cutting fuel, it cuts the ignition. Hence the reason for the backfires.
IMO, it is worthless on an S2000.

Notice that both of your examples are turbo cars.... (assuming SR/RB swap on the 240...) The entire point of this system is to dump fuel through the engine and into the turbine to keep it spooled between shifts, thus improving what may be the biggest drawback of turbo systems: throttle response. "Afterburning", it's called. If your car is NA, this would be useless. Spectacular, maybe, but useless.
it may that functionality. the "power builder" part of it probably means it has a 2 step launch control as well.
edit: i looked it up, they say its better for the engine to cut ignition rather than fuel blahblah jgtc use it. so i guess its not launch control?
edit again: just kidding it does have 2 step launch control. lol i didnt read far enough

Why do you say that it is useless on a NA s2k? Are you saying it will not backfire?
Also, the 2-Step will probably make you drop a Valve or two if you use it on a Stock Head S2000.
There is a reason why you always see it on Skylines and Silvia's and not S2000's.
