Asura is the only HFC that I'm aware of with a CARB EO#. Although they changed some CARB laws back in '09 I believe, so I'm not 100% sure if it's still good. But it passing CARB at one point does tell you that it will pass emissions. Although if you have other mods, that could throw everything off. But it does have the numbers etched on the piece.

Unfortunately the Berk HFC will get you owned at BAR/Any smog tech that does their job right.

Not relevant to California, at all. But thanks for the story.

The beauty of having my car still registered in PA. I don't have to worry about smog here in San Diego . Not to sound dumb, but what's stopping you from just putting on the stock cat whenever you have to get smogged?

It seems like it might easy to put on and take of..Then again I have no experience but it seems easy

As far as the visual test, I dont think he ever looked under the car... He does put this rod in the exhaust, thats it.. He seems koo though because he hassled me about the carb # not being on my FIPK but still passed it

I might check out Asura and see what they have. Ik the laws changed/modified in 2009, so I guess more research. Also, anybody know if Asura's HFC a good product?

Thanks for being so helpful guys

@Goldfinger978 Until a cop see's your car parked and finds out you live in CA. Have fun with that battle.

@Shiftat9 Remove 6 bolts, put on new gaskets/tp, tighten six bolts. The real difficulty for doing it alone is just having the room to do it, or the proper setup to get it high enough, and safe. It's about as straight forward as pouring cereal.

I'm just saying I've seen it happen twice. Beat cops are both more bored, and more observant than people give them credence. They see the same car enough times, they're bored enough to do some digging.
