Default berk or invidia?

what's up everyone? I'm close to making the decision on going with the uk exhaust mod on my S. I love the way it sounds, even more so with a test pipe added to the mix. What I would like to know a few things about test pipes before I buy a test pipe and have the work done to my exhaust... 1) depending on what size I decide to with the exhaust mod, will the diameter of the test pipe matter? 2) Is there any brand of test pipe that is better than the rest? Based on pretty much all of the reviews on the forum, anybody who is running a test pipe seems to be using the invidia test pipe. Should I go for an invidia or berk test pipe or does it not really make much of a difference as long as I get the right size test pipe? and finally 3) Is there any drone while driving along? if so, how bad would say it is? Thanks Guys!

It shouldn't make a difference, just get whichever one is cheaper in the size you want.

I have a Berk, the fitment is great and the CEL eliminator has kept my dash light-free. I'm not sure if the Invidia has one of those welded on.

Sizing is most important. Make sure you plan ahead. Don't get a TP size that will be bigger than the exhaust size. You can go larger on the exhaust and have a smaller TP and that should be ok. I would try to make them the same size if possible (I have a 70mm TP with a 70mm dual exhaust).

As for brand...I would say the Berk is probably better but there is nothing wrong with the Invidia. I have the 70mm TP with the CEL fix and have had no issues. Yes, there will be drone, but it won't be too bad. The main issue will be rasp at low rpms (for me, its around 3k rpm on low throttle) which will vary with throttle input.

If you're going to keep the stock exhaust I'd find a 60mm TP as this will be closest to the stock exhaust diameter. If you're keeping the stock exhaust, drone/noise shouldn't be too noticeable. I could hardly tell the difference in sound.

Definitely stick with 60/63mm for test pipe if using stock exhaust.

I carry both brands Both are quality parts!

Berk berk Berk. I had an Invidia test pipe and their cel fix did not work. Swapped over to a berk an no issues. Now I have the berk header back and the quality rivals anything out there.

I have an invidia 63 tp on an 08 CR.

If you have a DBW ap2, forget the CEL fix and get a flashpro and just turn off the secondary 02. That said, when I initially installed the TP I thought I had the secondary 02 turned off, I didn't, drove about 1000 miles until I realized I did it wrong in the flashpro, but the CEL never came on - go figure.

The berk is better craftsmanship and attention to detail, but the invidia was like $60 off of ebay brand new. I did have to clean out the invidia's inside of residue and weld boggers.

as far as noise, the CR exhaust sounds a little deeper, a hair louder, still no drone at cruising, but when you are going from a stop to hard on the gas you can hear a slight rasp as the air rushes towards the first resonator.
