Default Berk Technology

I appologize about all these posts lately about headers. I would like to find out from you guys that have the Berk header your opinion. I have a Megan right now that im returning cause it fits like shit on my 04. I don't have $1,500 for anything JDM (i wish) but in reality, I would like to have a highflow header for the gains but pay around the same as the Megan or a little more.

not really the o2 bung is welded on a slight angle that causes the sensor to touch the trans tunnel and cause alot of vibration.

Did something change from back in my AP1 days? I thought headers did little to nothing for your car.

Even the expensive headers like the Toda don't make much power at all. Maybe up to 5whp in certain spots. But they allow you to lower vtec and make good power. But you'll need an Apexi VAFC or hondata reflash, or some other way to lower vtec and retune the car a little.

Your best bet is going to be to get a used TODA. They can be found for about $600 if you wait around long enough.

Specifically about the Berk, unless you have tuning capability its not worth it. If you want all the reasons dig around the JDM section of the forum. If you can tune, it may be worth it if you can find one used for under 300.

The only headers I would put on my car are: Tracy Sports, TODA, J's, Mugen and Hytech. If you can tune then the Hytech and the Js are the only two I would use and if you can't tune then the Tracy Sports, Mugen or TODA,

My first choice if I had no tuning capability would be the Tracy Sports.

I ain't affraid of no JDM companies!

Zero fuel tuning devices on this car. Running a full Berk Technology header back system and a Spoon snorkel. Nothing else.

Dyno'ed bone stock @ 197 HP, 133 TQ

Dyno'ed with full header back exhaust system at 212 HP, 147 TQ.

Its hard to imagine that the stock header can be improved upon, other than reducing its weight. the stock piece is a 4-2-1 long tube with all the the pipes being nice and large, oval ported and even well port matched to the head. Minimal bends, and they are all very smooth transitions.
From the header back then Berk makes great stuff, I only have their high-flow cat but wow what a huge improvement over the stock cat.
