Default Berk Test Pipe

Hey guys I have been looking at getting a Berk test pipe for a while. But there are a few questions I can not figure out even after searching for a long time.
1. HP gain? I have heard all the way from -5 to 15. The reason for -5 is ecu learns to adjust to test pipe to go back to factory specs. The 15 is from dyno right after installing pipe and ecu has not have time to adjust. Is this true?
2. Will I lose low end power or torque?
3. Do tips turn bronze and the bumper turns black in certain spots?

I've heard 3-5 HP gain when it is all said and done. When I installed my Berk TP, I reset the ECU while I was doing the instlation. I have never heard of loosing tq as a result of installing a TP. Yes your tips and bumper will will discolor. Just wax your exaust tips and rear bumper and they will clean up easily.

3-5 is nice for only 125 bucks. One guy had me scared and I almost completely dropped the idea of getting a tp. He claims he dynoed his car after having the tp on for a few months then put back on the cat right after taking the tp off and he gained 5 hp on the dyno but i guess that is only 1 car out of 100.

Bumper might have a little extra soot on it, but that's to be expected. I have one on my car with a stock exhaust and I see no possible way that the tips would bronze on it. Wish they would though, that would look pretty cool!

I've had my testpipe off for about two weeks since I had to bring it in service at the dealership. I really haven't noticed a significant difference except sound.....I actually forget that I even took it off except when I don't smell anything in the parking deck and when I don't hear that awesome noise testpipes make ( Slight 350z exhaust sound).

i just ordered the berk hi flow cat recently. my supercharged celica has a race header resulting in no cat and it leaves my back bumper covered in black soot and so i'd probably suggest a high flow cat for a tad cleaner emissions and berk even stated through dynos that the hi flow cat is within 1 whp of the test pipe...

Hum...yes but stright pipe 125 and high flow cat is 225 or whatever without cool sound. Ill try waxing the bumper and tail pipes and it it cleans off easy then that will be cool. If not i can just resale. Btw i LOVE the sound of the 350z personally i think its the best sounding car ever.
