Default Which is the best AP2 header?

Hello all. I am currently looking for an AP2 header to compliment my EMS tune. Anyone know which works best for the AP2? I currently have a V2/testpipe and baselined some pretty good #'s. I know different dyno's vary, but give or take some %'s, the #'s were still strong (Factory Freak). I am going to do without an exhaust system as my car will be daily driven/sleeper status. I am assuming that the tune will allow me to lower the vtec crossover as well as raising the redline to about 8600 (roughly). Do you guys think that the header will make much of a difference? From what I hear, the header will allow me to lower the vtec more so with a tune. I have tried searching, but everyone seems to be comparing with the AP1 motor. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It's really hard to say which is best. Some headers give you Mid Range, while others might give you more Top End. Could you specify what you want?

I'm trying to aim for the top end because the AP2 has good low/mid range power as is. I know that not many s2K owners are into drag racing, but I'm planning to time the S in Jan 08. My goal is to hit at least 13.50's or better (hopefully 13.30's) with a tune.

Best would be Hytech, but wait times and availability could be an issue. I have the Mugen 2.2L header and am happy with it, also have friends running Toda and J's and seem pleased with those as-well. I doubt there are too much differences in most of the JDM headers.

In the JDM forum there is a whole NA tuning thread that talks about headers and results from members posted you might want to check it out

Bullet proof posted a tracey sports header test at autobacs that showed their results tested Tracey Sports/J's/Mugen/Toda/ASM/and maybe Spoon I think...

How about this?

Berk Technology HPC Header
Berk Technology 2.5" Test pipe
Invidia Dual
AEM V2 CAI
Apexi NEO piggy back (not a full stand alone)

Work performed by Church Automotive

He was able to lower his VTEC engagement to 4900 RPM.

I have raced Superfly..Those are his #'s.

I baselined 225.3 and 155 lb tq at autowave dyno dynamics with V2/testpipe only.

I could only imagine what my motor would do with the addition of EMS/header on church's dyno.

I have been thinking about the berk's, but not sure.

is this dyno showing only what difference the header made or all of the mods?
thanks
