Post Best bulb for AP1 headlights?

I just bought some used AP1 headlights to swap with the messed up one on my car, and I figure while I have all the assemblies off the car, I might as well upgrade the bulb if possible.

So, anyone know of a bulb that is "better" than OEM? Possibly brighter? I'm not interested in going bluer, as I read that the OEM color is already the best in respect to light output amount.

Anyone have specific brand / models they would call an "upgrade?"

Oem is 4300K which is the brightest on the scale. Philips are the oem ones. I would stick with them. They are very good bulbs.

Agreed that phillips is probably the best quality bulb you'll find, but you might want to look into the 55w HID kits to replace our stock system. Stock HID systems are 35w and now there are some 55w kits on the market, I don't know how much of an improvment they would be because I've never actually seen them.

I just called a dealership and they said EACH bulb (OEM) is $200!?!?!? Is this correct??? I was like, "Are you serious? A single bulb, not the whole assembly?" And I confirmed with him like 3x... he said bulbs for "mitsubishis" are $300 each even.

Anyone know where I can buy the OEMs brand new for a more reasonable amount?

Ebay. Philips D2S 4300K HID bulb I believe. And yes they are very expensive bulbs.

I think these would work.
Someone else confirm.
Look like the Philips D2S ones that are oem. Cheaper than the other listed oem Philips ones though so not sure.

If not here are the OEM ones at half what the dealer was asking.
