Default "best" for me S2000 exhaust

I know you guys are saying "great, another one of these threads". I promise I wont mess it up though

My previous car was a RSX type-s and it had a race header and Toda catback. The exhaust was fairly light weight, didn't lose any power over stock and wasn't ricer loud (to me atleast). I have been trying to decide which exhaust to get but need your help.

1. I want a single exit
2. I want it to be as light as possible
3. I don't want to lose any power (no silencer)
4. cant cost over $1000 but the lower the better
5. Can't be loud (a K20 w/ toda exhaust and no cat isn't loud, sorry I don't have a DB number)

Does the Berk 3 inch single meet all of these? Or maybe the ARK DTS? Is there a better option out there for my specific needs? I will be using the car as a daily driver with AutoX and a few track events mixed in.

Best bet would be ASM. The Berk is loud, I had a Greddy SE single that was also loud. I settled on the ASM 70mm single. I have a 60mm ASM Single for sale if interested. I have never heard the ARK exhaust.

The Berk is close to what your looking for. The only thing is its noise level. When your getting on it, it screams (but in a clean, attractive way) and when your cruising around town it is very tollerable, minus some interior pieces rattling at certain RPM's. It is possible to have a conversation with this exhaust, minus a few RPM's were the sound seems to swallow you, but this system is only 600 bucks. For what your looking for, I'd look into the T1R 70R-EM ($1,000 new), I have identical features I look for in my exhaust, and I've been thinking about selling my Berk, and keeping my eyes out for a used 70R-EM, for just a couple hundred bucks more.

I can't seem to find the ASM single for anywhere close to $1,000 (more like $2,000). I wish I had that kind of money for an exhaust but unfortunately race tires aren't cheap and take priority for obvious reasons.

My friend got the ARK exhaust and it sounds like it fits the criteria you're looking for.

Do you happen to know the weight of it? I can't seem to find it anywhere...

If you want to hear an ASM 70, I'm in the Raleigh-Durham area.

I'm tempted but then I might have to buy one

Seriously though I might take you up on that offer.

No 70mm single is really going to be quite like you want except for the ASM. Can get those refurbished for $1300 or so. Berk will meet most requirements but will definitely be loud.

I purchased a "renew" version from Evasive last year. A local buddy, who doesn't want an exhaust, called GoTuning & Evasive the day after we installed it looking for one. It sounds that good! I'll admit that I was worried prior to installing it but wouldn't trade it now (and I had someone willing to pay be full price for it). GoTuning claims ASM will be suppling them with more "renew" units, they just can't say when. If you want to take a drive this weekend, I'll be around. Shoot me an IM and we'll sort it out.
