Save your money on something else. This should help you understand why:

i have the newest DiGrappa X-brace and i have to say it does make a difference, i dont know if it makes the front stiffer but i do know when driving straight on a road and hitting a dip or bump with only one front tire it doesnt pull. say the left front tire hits a bump on a straight, it would kinda jerk the wheel a little. i can say it goes extremely straight with no hands on the bumpiest roads

I would start with an upgraded thicker front sway bar, and then go the chassis brace route. You'll find a lot more benefit in your handling and chassis stiffness from the swaybar than you will from a brace.

If you live in an area with a bunch of bumpy roads that will slowly crack the welds and weaken the chassis, then you might get some benefit from a roll cage or something. However, if you are just hearing some know-nothings on the internet forums talking about the 50 lbs of worthless bling braces making bumps feel better, then your just being a sucker for snake oil.

If you are happy with the handling performance of your car, then do NOT buy sway bars. Sway bars can help improve handling, and can change the balance of the car for better or worse, but stiff sway bars will ALWAYS increase the stress on the chassis. Basically, sway bars are the OPPOSITE of bracing.

Yikes .... it sounds like you are a guy who has no idea what he needs, but wants to blow a few hundred bucks on his car.

Ignore this guy, since he clearly doesn't know the difference between shlt and shinola.

gernby, im not saying you are right or wrong. how do you know what is what unless you have tried some of the products. instead of saying what not to use. why not post up on the products you have used and what kinda of difference it made for you. you cant say it made it worst or better because every driver is different. some might like it handling a certain way. i have heard from a local (track junkie) that has tried a few different set ups and told me how the car handled. i can than pick certain setups depending on if thats how i want my car to handle.

im not gonna lie. i got the x brace for the bling because i was bored and wanted to mod a little. also got cusco floor ladder bars because i think they look awesome on the underside. both might have made a difference but i did it more for the bling than anything else. i only drive my car for fun and not a hardcore track guy.

i do agree he needs to research and find out which sway bars would fit him better. not all sway bars are the same and they all make the car handle differently

I did buy a bunch of snake oil products like strut tower bars and chassis braces back in college (early 90's), and they did nothing. I had one of the slowest cars in my SCCA class. I spent thousands upon thousands on totally worthless bolt-ons that did nothing but transfer weight from my wallet to my car. Most of the "performance parts" that are offered today are not really performance parts. They are just "widgets" that are marketed to suckers.

Now to the point of this thread, it seems that the OP wanted to make his chassis more rigid, but then he later decided to do exactly the oppositte. Adding a thicker sway bar will cause the chassis to flex even more. That's just a mechanical fact. Anything that you do to stiffen the suspension will cause more flex in the chassis.
