Default Bigger wheels

Need some input- thinking about going to larger wheels- I'm stock right now. How did you compensate for the size to bring your speedometer back into sync? Was it a pain?

Just make sure your new tire size has the same Outer Diameter and you dont have to change anything.

The same overall diameter as stock? Or just the same size tire as stock? Can I put So2's on 17's or do I have to change to a lower profile tire?

there should be some plus sizing calculators floating out there somewhere on the web. But if you're loking to go to 17's i would suggest OEM ap2 sizes to be as close to oem ap1 as posible. 215/45r17 front and 245/40r17 rear

You should not need a yellow box. My 18"s with tires are the exact same size as the 16"s with tires. If you get the proper rubber, you will be fine.

If you don't understand upsizing, you should let your tire shop or the person you are buying wheels from do the calculations for you.

Or be prepared to do lots of reading.

Dave, when I went to my 17" Volks I went with a 215/45/17 in front and a 245/40/17 in the back. Speedometer is still within 2mph of the GPS at highway speeds.

You might want something wider in the back for your 400 whp but with the proper tire size you'll need no adjustments to the speedo.
